This Raw Vegan Pesto Sauce is the perfect condiment for pasta, salads, panini or anything you can think of!
There is not much to explain about this recipe… it must be the easiest and tastiest sauce recipe ever made! In my original Italian pesto sauce recipe, one of the key ingredient in grated parmesan cheese; in this raw vegan version I have just swapped the cheese with nutritional yeast to make it healthier and I must say the result is great!
The method is super easy and straight forward: just put all the ingredients in a blender and BLEND! the Pesto sauce can be also stored in the freezer so you can make a bowl of sauce and freeze it in small portions ready to use.
- 4 Cups Fresh Basil
- 1 tbsp Raw Pine Nuts
- 2 tsp Nutritional Yeast
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Peal the garlic.
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend.
- You may want to taste the sauce after blending and adjust the flavout to your personal taste, adding a bit more salt, oil or garlic.
