Here I am, getting comfortable with raw vegan food. I thought I could start with something tasty so that I would actually get excited about starting this experiment. This recipe is easier and tastier than I could ever think and at this point I really hope I will feel the same way about all the other raw vegan recipes I’m going to create 😀 I can’t begin to tell you about my excitement, I have so many recipes in mind that I would like to share as soon as possible! 

 

Raw Vegan Walnut Brownies

 

You are going to love these brownies! How do I know? they are so gooey, so decadent and so healthy! I have used dates, walnut, almond meal, oat meal, raw cacao, vanilla extraxt and water: how simple is that? All the ingredients are basically superfoods and this does make the brownies even tastier when you think you are eating a super healthy treat!

Raw Vegan Walnut Brownies

The method for this recipe is extremely easy: put all the ingredients in a food processor and process untill everything is well combined and you can see a ball of dough that starts forming. After that, press the dough in a tray covered in cling film and leave in the fridge to set for a couple of hours. Here you go: you have a yummy raw vegan dessert in a few minutes! this dough is very versatile, in fact  you could use it to prepare some chocolate walnut truffles as well. To do that, instead of pressing the dough in a tray, you can shape it in little balls with your hands and roll them in raw cacao.

Ingredients
  1. 80gr Almond meal
  2. 30gr Gluten Free Oat Meal
  3. 60gr Walnuts
  4. 130gr Dates
  5. 20gr Raw Cacao
  6. 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  7. 2 tbsp Water
  8. 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. In a food processor, blend together all the ingredients until you have a ball of dough.
  2. Press the dough in a tray covered in cling film.
  3. Put the tray in the fridge to rest for at least 2 hours.
  4. Cut the brownies in slices and decorate with walnut halves.
